Sage Intacct and Dynamics GP ERP Implementation Methodology

Once you have decided to move forward with Intacct cloud accounting software or Dynamics GP ERP software as your next accounting solution, your assigned Master Consultant will further analyze and validate the requirements and business processes identified during the evaluation phase. They will complete the following:

  1. Develop a more complete understanding of those requirements and processes
  2. Ensure your infrastructure is ready
  3. Identify additional requirements or processes not previously identified

The results of this phase will be used to develop the project plan and final project scope, and during the design phase.


Our consultants use the results of the Analysis phase and work with your team to configure the application software and incorporate the specific business processes to be tested. During this phase the key users of the new system will be trained so they validate processes and assist in testing the proposed configurations. Your software will be installed, and often a "test" or "sandbox" version of your system will be created to be used during this and subsequent phases.


If part of the project scope, this phase includes designing, coding, testing and debugging of customizations to meet your specific business needs; custom forms such as invoices and checks; integrations with external systems; creation of workflows; and new reports and business intelligence models. It will also include data migration testing.


This is the "go live" phase. At this time in the implementation your specific configuration has been finalized, so training of any end users who have not participated in the development phase will be fully trained. This may be accomplished on an individual basis or in a classroom environment. After the technical team has prepared the production environment and final data migration has been accomplished, you are ready to switch over to your new system. Consultants will be onsite during this critical phase. After an on-site presence is no longer required, our team will be available for help desk and remote support as needed.


The final task involves three main areas: 1) support for the first month's closing (e.g., reviewing financial statements, performing inventory counts, and assisting with various reconciliations, 2) addressing non-critical questions users have after the initial deployment, and 3) optimization and refinement of the configuration of the software and/or processes defined during the initial implementation. Our project manager will ensure that all tasks have been successfully completed and all technical issues have been resolved prior to closing the project.
