Project Manager

The Role:

The Resource Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! The Project Manager position is an external, client-facing position to oversee solution delivery of ERP implementations as well as other 3rd party products and integrations as contractually specified. The Project Manager will serve as the liaison between The Resource Group and the client to ensure all project deliverables and requirements are satisfied. The Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Work will be performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and directs various projects, including upgrades, implementations, development, and complex projects for new and existing customers
  • Ensures our team meets quality standards of, and manages the production of, expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle: Define, Build, Test, and Deploy
  • Works to ensure assigned projects are delivered on-time and on budget
  • Works with team managers to assemble the project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion of project
  • Works with a project scheduler to maximize the success of the project and the utilization of our team
  • Prepares project status reports and KPI's for management and clients
  • Generates budget vs. actual and profitability reporting on fixed fee projects
  • Interfaces with the Sales organization to ensure proper estimating and scoping of new projects
  • Assists with the creation of SOW documents to ensure consistency and proper content
  • Ensures each project has adequate documentation before beginning the project work
  • Conducts status calls with clients and manages client expectations
  • Monitors and reports on issues, tasks, and budgets to internal teams, management and clients
  • Helps to ensure the entire project budget is used and to expand the scope of projects when possible through change orders
  • Generates change orders when necessary for out of scope tasks
  • Obtains approvals from clients for change orders and acceptance testing
  • Works with external vendors to gather status, coordinate and schedule resources, when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in ERP consulting practices
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • PMP certification
  • Scrum Master certification
