As a registered CPA in Washington state and a Sage Intacct consultant with The Resource Group, I work with our professional services clients to eliminate pain points they are experiencing within their accounting practice. One of the main areas they need assistance with is data visibility in terms of reporting and insights.
Recently, I worked with a client that needed to see their expenses by project. They had no way to accomplish this within their existing legacy accounting software solution. With Sage Intacct, in less than an hour I was able to deliver a corporate-level report that showed all of the expenses in the GL accounts as well as all of those expenses by project. Our client was able to drill down directly within the report browser back to the general ledger entry, back to that journal entry, to the source transaction.
In addition, I built an end user, more lower-level report for their purchasing and accounting clerks that showed the individual expense in purchasing line items that were rolling into each one of those GL accounts by project. Again, with Sage Intacct, it took me less than an hour to do this.
Since Sage Intacct is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, our clients can have team members on the East Coast entering data and it will instantly show up in a report on the West Coast. Sage Intacct is all-access and brilliant in terms of accessibility and insight.
