We chose Microsoft Dynamics GP and The Resource Group in mid-2005 as a solution to our needs for significant accounting software upgrades. After examining other packages on the market, we determined that Microsoft Dynamics GP would best serve our needs. The Resource Group gave us demonstrations of the various features. Their presentations made it clear they knew the software and had the support necessary for a successful implementation.
We began with G/L, A/P, and Fixed Assets and went "live" October 1, 2005 with these modules. The FRx Reporting module is extremely valuable; it allows us to get detailed management reports issued quickly, not the case from our old system. We added payroll and human resources in January 2006, deciding having it in-house was much more efficient and cost effective. This was a very sound decision.
Project Accounting was recently installed after an excellent web preview was presented to us by The Resource Group. Our manual system of tracking capital projects was too unwieldy and very time consuming. The installation was quick and very clearly explained. We were up and running after less than two days. We are not using the full functionality of the Purchase Order module or Project Accounting but were shown its many features. Adding these to our processes will be done this coming year.
Our objectives by using Microsoft Dynamics GP were quickly met and allowed us to see additional features that, as we implement them, will further enhance our accounting department. The Resource Group has always been very knowledgeable and very quick in addressing our questions, problems, and providing on-site support. The Resource Group has definitely been a major partner in our organization's significant growth in preparing and speedily distributing accurate financial information.
