The Resource Group to Launch Monthly Educational Webcasts Identifying the Hidden Costs of Entry-Level Accounting Systems

Kim Anselmo - Wednesday, March 27, 2013

The webcasts are designed for growing companies still using entry-level accounting systems.

Renton, Wash. – The Resource Group will launch a series of webcasts beginning at 10 am PDT on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, designed to educate companies about the hidden costs of entry-level accounting systems. The Resource Group is a leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics® GP (formerly, Great Plains), helping clients utilize their software solution to gain business insight and manage their organization more efficiently and effectively.

Microsoft Dynamics GP is a robust enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that integrates easily into multiple data sources, allows flexible reporting, and is easily scalable to meet current and future business needs. Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 – the latest release – offers more than 200 new features, including a web client.

The webcasts will address common issues faced by growing companies using entry-level accounting solutions such as Peachtree and QuickBooks. Topics will include the risks associated with these systems which may not be Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliant, the need for tighter security to protect against fraud, and the value of integrating your accounting system with other business applications.

“The webcasts are designed to help growing companies identify cost savings they can achieve by upgrading their entry-level accounting software systems to a more robust ERP platform,” said Marty Schillaci, CEO of The Resource Group. “By making an investment into a mid-sized accounting software system, these growing businesses will be able to overcome important challenges, such as compliance and security issues. Plus, they will understand the value of improving processes to make strategic business decisions as they grow.”

The first monthly webcast is scheduled to take place at 10 am PDT on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. A second webcast is scheduled for May 15, 2013. Registration is required for the complimentary events.
